USING MICROSOFT WORD LETTER WIZARD


    In this assignment, you will use the Microsoft Word Letter Wizard to create a professional looking letter. Every professional letter should include certain information such as  date,  senders name and address,  receivers  name and address,  salutation, and complimentary closing just to name a few. You are to write a letter to Carolina Vasano at FX Management Group in regards to  Helen Frank. Your rating of Helen as your neighbor is needed.

At the end of this tutorial, you should produce the letter that will look exactly as the one below, except, it will have your name instead of mine:



However, you will not create this letter by blindly copying the letter above, but you will use Word letter wizard to structure the letter for you.
Follow the steps below:
  1. Open the Microsoft Word application by clicking on the Word icon on your desktop.
  2. Go to Tools menu, and then to Letters and Mailings.
  3. Click on Letter Wizard within the Letters and Mailings.
  4. The Letter Wizard pop-up window will be displayed with four tabs within it.
  5. Click on the Letter Format tab. Within the Letter Format, make sure you check 'Date line' check box, and 'Choose a letter style' should be set to Full Block. See image below.



  6. Click on a Recipient Info tab. Within the Recipient Info enter Carolina Vasano for Recipient name and
    650 Lincoln Road Suite 5B
    Miami Beach, FL 33139 for Delivery Address. In Salutation section, check the Formal radio button. See the image below.



  7. Click on Other Elements tab. Check the Reference line check box. Select In regards to: and type Helen Frank. See image below.



  8. Click on Sender Info tab. Within Sender's name: type your name (not mine). Type
    1580 Michigan Ave. #18
    Miami Beach, FL 33139 into Return address: box. Within the Closing section select Best regards, within Complimentary closing.



  9. Click on the OK button.
  10. The letter will appear and line of text that says Type your text here. will be highlighted. There, you should type the actual content of the letter. The content of the letter is above, in the sample. Note that spacing between individuals section of the letter was not automatically generated by the Word. Insert appropriate blank lines between individual sections of the letter, as shown on the sample above, simply by clicking on the enter key on the keyboard. Between Best regards and your name, insert two blank lines. There, you will place your signature.
  11. ONCE YOU ARE FINISHED, PRINT YOUR LETTER, APPROPRIATELY SIGN IT, AND TURN IT IN.
